The Community Cure
We know more about health than perhaps any generation before us, yet many of us are trying to navigate our health and change our lives largely on our own.
Research increasingly points to something remarkably simple: human connection matters.
Emerging research on group health coaching is beginning to explore what can happen when health education, coaching, shared experience, and social connection come together.
A newly published 2026 study described this idea as “Community as Medicine.” Researchers studying an experiential group health-coaching program found four interconnected themes associated with participants’ mental wellbeing: belonging and inclusion, relational accountability, self-efficacy through social learning and reciprocal support, and greater agency through positive action.
The research is still developing, but it points toward something important: meaningful change may be supported not simply by receiving information, but by having opportunities to connect, participate, practice, and learn alongside others.

That’s part of the philosophy behind Vitality Hour. You’ll still learn the science. But you’ll experience the human side of change, too — conversation, encouragement, reflection, shared practice, and community.
We don’t just learn together. We practice together.
